ABC Music Store & Academy Testimonial

ABC Music is much more than a music store. It is a haven to the area musicians with strong ties to the community and local schools. The employees of ABC are all accomplished musicians in their own right who can help with hardware selections, repairs and special orders. Whether one is rookie or a regular, you will be treated with dignity, respect and encouragement as a fellow musician and a friend. Every musician, both budding and full-blown, will find what they need at the store or they will special order it. This is the place to go for parents who are just stepping into the school band scene through the local elementary school programs; ABC Music gives back to the community in the form of churning the money gathered from instrument rentals straight back into the afterschool band program at the elementary schools as they recognized that students were missing music in their lives as budget cuts slashed this program from the school curriculum. Music lessons are also provided through the store in the classrooms for small group and private lessons which helps students who become bitten by the music bug.

Bursting out into song can provide pleasure and relaxation. It does not matter what song you select to sing, or whether or not the song pleases others, if it makes you feel happy then continue.

Located in your inner ear, is an organ by the name of the sacculus. This organ only responds to low frequency, high intensity sound, which are ideally produced from singing. When you sing, this organ immediately reacts by causing the release of pleasure-inducing endorphins.

A person can express their feelings by singing. The entire human emotional spectrum can be expressed through singing.

5. Singing is good for respiration and blood circulation

The correct breathing is required for singing. When breathing in the correct way, the following health benefits can happen:

The Positive Effects Music Education Has On Children

Music is really an important part for every culture. When talking about culture we can see that music is one of the things that differentiate each community and society from others. Therefore without doubt, music makes cultures globally richer. It is known that music has been the best way to teach children about their culture as well as others around the world. Learning about cultures is fascinating and music help people to develop an attitude as well as maintain their emotional and psychological well-being.

Many studies have proven that music can be beneficial and children can achieve more or less complete development through music. Some parents and schools claim that learning music is senseless. Nevertheless, there have been studies which counter that perspective and have shown that children who are involved in music better cope academically than children who are not. According to professionals, students who were exposed to music lessons in their childhood years, have been more prone to achieve higher in subjects such as mathematics, languages, as well as the sciences. It has been said that this is because of the music lessons that children were exposed to and the actual composition of the lessons.

The Role of Music in Personal and Emotional Development

People spend more than half of their lives as well as their energy teaching obedience, teamwork and even moral values. There are even those moments that are spent in teaching other social skills to children and this is done in different ways, but the most common is through music. Music assists children in becoming self-disciplined, organized, as well as cooperative. When they learn in groups, it is more likely that they will also learn about teamwork and being responsible for other things. Music is a very good way to pass on to children information about their society's history of music, instruments among other historical aspects that impact greatly on a society. This surely adds to their awareness and takes them nearer to the lives of inventive people, which can provide them with priceless insights on life.

Music by itself is a type of perspicuity and creativity, which convey intricate thinking abilities, in children this in turn, increases their cognitive aptitude. With music, it is simpler to reflect on conceptual things and this certainly improves the imagination, especially when an individual attempts to formulate his own tune or learning the old ones.

Many people are not aware of the power that music has on reducing psychological stress as well as emotional. For this reason why many studies align with using music as a way for people to express their present feeling and as such reduce the stress that there are faced with.

If truth were told, several psychologists utilise 'music therapy' as a means through which they treat their patients that are suffering from mental disarray. Music is probably the only tool that provides the brain with exercise and relaxation as well. People have used music as means through which they can help children to work on their self-esteem, in particular those that are not academically inclined. For instance, a child that may not be the brightest of the lot, but this child plays the violin or sings a song at the school yearly function, this immediately boost the child's self-esteem. Therefore, music can be used as a healing tool and is very significant for the individual's emotional as well as psychological development and health.

Music's Contribution to Academic Development

Academic success can surely be the incentive that several parents and schools alike to use as a way that will permit them to commence music classes. Numerous scientists and child development psychologists have come to the agreement on the fact that music does improve the academic performance of a child, the children also achieve more knowledge in core subjects like the languages, mathematics, history as well as science.

People are encouraged to be knowledgeable of the musical notes, hence the reason to learn to read music notes. Learning about musical notes, assists with the enhancement of the linguistic skills of the child. Children may learn to appreciate foreign languages or musical language, but in order to understand its actual meaning and investigation into the subject would be needed.

Music on a whole while beneficial to everyone, children are more likely to benefit a great deal, as their academics will improve in particular in areas such as science or even mathematics. Children on a whole learn very quickly and as such, learning about a different instrument would not be a big problem.
